Good Behaviour in Children Results in a Better Society

Hey there,

Welcome to the Tuesday Toots!

Good Behaviour in Children Results in a Better Society

The importance of good behaviour in society cannot be overstated. Especially now when each one of us is in a state of perpetual rush, with no time for such trivialities as good manners or behaviour. Good, acceptable behaviour forms the foundation of our communities, thriving and flourishing with people sharing similar social values like kindness, respect, and compassion.

But for our collective efforts to bear the right results, there’s something we need to do. Let’s begin at home. Children are the future and by ensuring they understand the value of this much-needed social skill, we are setting the stage for cultivating this culture and hope that it will lead to a brighter and more harmonious society. So, what is good behaviour and why is it important (beyond the classroom and school gates)?

"Human behaviour flows from three main sources: desire, emotion and knowledge. "
- Plato

1. Nurturing Positive Relationships: Every time children treat others with kindness, respect, and empathy, they create a harmonious environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated. Their good behaviour fosters positive relationships with peers, family members, and others around them.

2. Positive Approach to Resolving Conflicts: Positive attitude is inherent in children with good behaviour. And that quality helps them deal with conflict resolution in a more constructive manner. They are open to communicating with others, listening to their perspectives, and working together to find peaceful solutions, thus preventing aggression and bullying.

3. Being Empathetic, Understanding and Kind: Children with good behaviour are often empathetic and compassionate. This enables them to connect better with others and be supportive. Their concern for the well-being of others fosters a sense of unity and caring among them.

4. Becoming Positive Role Models by Participating in Community Initiatives: Children with good behaviour become role models for their peers and younger children. By participating in community initiatives like clean-up drives and charity events, they reinforce a sense of responsibility and commitment. Their actions inspire others to follow their lead, creating a chain of positive behaviour and values within society.

5. Understanding the Value of Respect and Integrity: Children develop a strong sense of the importance of honesty, integrity, and respect for themselves and others. The more these values get ingrained in them, the stronger will be the foundation of society where trust and mutual understanding will thrive.

6. Causing a Ripple Effect: It takes one person to start the chain. Good behaviour in children can create a ripple effect that extends beyond immediate relationships. As children grow into responsible and caring adults, they will continue to carry these positive values into their personal and professional lives, thus shaping a more compassionate and inclusive society for future generations.

For children to develop good behaviour, it must begin at home. Parents are responsible for moulding their children into disciplined individuals with good behaviour. In children, it's a powerful force that contributes to creating a better society. It empowers children to be kind, empathetic, and respectful, nurturing an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive. By instilling these values in children, let's spread the message of good behaviour and shape a positive society.

Interesting articles I read

What is your food clock? An interesting article about how much we eat and how the time of the day influences it. The simple guidelines suggested in the article are actually what our grandmothers would advice and follow. No wonder they had better health. Food has become such a vital topic for discussion but little heed is paid to what is being consumed, in what quantities and when. A wake-up call kind of article.

Call to the Wild: This is your Brain on Nature - this article is all about the effect of nature on our brains. Here they have discussed how our overworked, overstressed rejuvenates when in a natural environment, be it a beach or forest or garden. Our brains feel restored and so do our mental abilities. I agree with this totally. Read it to see if you agree.

Books by my bedside

Almost finished reading The Almanack of Naval Ravikant. Naval Ravikant is an entrepreneur, investor and philosopher who has used his life experiences and all the books he has read to formulate the secret formula for earning wealth and gaining happiness in life. It's quirky if I can use that word to describe his book. Some of the ideas look incredulously abstract but simple. It's a must-read who have similar ambitions but are overwhelmed by the magnitude of their aspirations.

As a versatile creator with a passion for the written word, my journey in the creative realm has been an exploration of diverse topics and a celebration of the beauty of expression through words. From the very beginning of my writing journey as a blogger, I chose not to confine myself to a specific niche, thus allowing my creativity to flow across an array of disconnected and independent subjects. Through my blogs, newsletters, and e-books, I have delved into the realms of literature, lifestyle, parenting, movie reviews, book analyses, culture and traditions, and the ever-evolving landscape of current affairs. The freedom to write about what truly interests me has been the cornerstone of my creative process, resulting in a body of work that is authentic and heartfelt. My goal is to connect with readers on a multitude of levels, sparking their interest and initiating meaningful conversations. In this limitless world of words, I strive to inspire, inform, and engage, leaving an indelible mark with every piece I craft with equal passion and involvement. The journey is ongoing, and I am excited to see where the endless pathways of creativity will lead me next. Taking my love for teaching children further, I’ve ventured into the world of setting up an online store, where I offer a unique array of educational printables tailored for primary-grade learners. These resources are carefully designed to engage the young minds and facilitate their educational journey. The printables aim to make learning enjoyable and effective. It brings me immense joy to envision these resources being used by both educators and parents to enhance the learning experience of the child in an enjoyable and visually appealing way. The store is as a testament to my commitment to education and the belief that creativity can play a vital role in shaping the minds of the future generation.
